喝酒是傷肝的主要兇手之一，但很多人可能不知道，它還會默默削弱男性特徵。對此，家醫科醫師李思賢指出，飲酒越多，會導致睾酮（男性荷爾蒙）變少、雌激素變多，使喝酒成為「女人味」增加推手，甚至對健康造成不可逆影響。因此，無論男女，都該選擇適量飲酒，或嘗試戒酒，以維護健康。
醫師李思賢在個人粉專發文表示，酒精之所以會影響男性荷爾蒙，主要是因為它會提高體內的雌激素水平。首先，肝臟是負責代謝體內雌激素的器官，而酒精會干擾肝酶的正常運作，使雌激素無法順利被分解，長期飲酒會導致肝臟損傷，如脂肪肝或肝硬化，讓雌激素在體內越積越多。
李思賢接著提到，酒精還會促進脂肪細胞中的芳香酶活性，而芳香酶會將睾酮轉化為雌激素。酒喝得越多，脂肪越多，芳香酶活性越高，導致睾酮下降，雌激素卻增加。另外，酒精也會破壞腸道菌群的平衡，進一步增加雌激素的再吸收。他說，透過肝臟、脂肪組織和腸道這3重機制，讓喝酒成為「女人味」增加推手。
