吳凱文指出，骨質疏鬆是一種常見的骨質代謝疾病，主要因骨骼內的鈣質逐漸流失，導致骨骼結構出現孔洞，使其變得疏鬆、脆弱且易於骨折。雖然在早期通常沒有明顯症狀，但隨著疾病的發展，可能會引發背部疼痛、身高減少及骨折風險增加等問題。

吳凱文建議民眾應定期檢查骨密度，搭配均衡的營養補充與適當運動，以提升骨密度、降低骨折風險，維持骨骼的健康狀態。透過骨質密度檢查可準確判斷骨質是否疏鬆。檢查結果若T值大於-1，表示骨密度正常；介於-1至-2.5之間則為骨量稀少；若低於-2.5即為骨質疏鬆，須儘早介入治療，以防止骨質進一步流失並降低骨折風險。
