許多人都有過肚子痛的經驗，但往往就是太常發生而輕忽了。對此，胃腸肝膽科醫師林相宏表示，曾收治過2名症狀類似的女性患者，都因腹痛難耐就診，結果一照皆為急性闌尾炎，而其中一位較嚴重，闌尾已破裂引發腹膜炎。他也藉此提醒，若腹痛位置是從胃部附近，逐漸轉移至肚臍周圍或右下腹部，同時合併噁心想吐、連走路都痛、忽冷忽熱等情況，務必盡快就醫。

醫師林相宏在個人粉專發文提到，曾在一周內連續碰到2名肚子痛的女性患者，症狀都十分類似，起初都有胃痛的感覺，但不至於到難以忍受的程度，就是感到悶悶的，還會有點噁心想吐。在過了1、2天後，病人開始覺得變成肚臍周圍疼痛，尤其是在右下腹部的位置，更奇怪的是，竟連走路、半夜睡覺也都痛，同時全身有點發熱。

林相宏接著說，其實不明原因的腹痛，透過腹部超音波檢查能幫上大忙。結果一照，兩位患者的闌尾都腫脹起來，明顯是急性闌尾炎，其中一位狀況較嚴重，闌尾已經破裂引發腹膜炎；而另一名還在早期階段，緊急手術後，恢復狀況良好。

談及闌尾炎該如何辨識？林相宏說明，其實肚子痛原因百百種，但若症狀是從一開始胃部附近疼痛，然後慢慢痛到肚臍周圍或右下腹部，同時合併噁心想吐、連走路都痛、忽冷忽熱等症狀，一摸就痛時，千萬不要輕忽，應趕快就醫檢查。

林相宏說，一般急性闌尾炎在診斷初期還是盡早開刀較好，不過，若已經破裂引起膿瘍，可能只能先用抗生素治療或引流，待2、3個月後才能再開刀割除闌尾。
